A note about the collection from @pluralist_ : A lot of my work is centered around dreams and bringing what they can mean into waking life. I see the potential for true freedom as a form of dreaming out loud.
My collection is made up of selects from two separate collaborations with Chris Kore & Alex Moy that evoked this at two different times in my life.
The pieces with Chris reference my background as a dancer in which I envision dance as a physical expression of a dream. Conscious shapeshifting while we’re awake that can shape reality the way we want. Something I feel that I’ve truly experienced as dance has been the catalyst for many miracles that have happened to me. The piece with Alex Moy is an experiment in combining fashion and beauty imagery with animation. The result led to a form of augmented reality that for me feels like the beginnings of a lucid dream which is the ability to be conscious of our environment and control how we experience it. I purposely leave out the difference between doing so in a dream state or waking life because there is none. It is an innate ability in all of us that like any skill can be developed and one I continue to explore in my art.
