MTL, NY
Frederique PAX Mozer, a multidisciplinary artist originating from Montreal and New York, has spent over a decade immersed in the worlds of street dance and performance art, specialized in Hip Hop and Poppin styles. Her creative journey seamlessly intertwines various forms and artistic media. Her wide-ranging interests encompass dance, design, film, and digital media, reflecting a multifaceted approach to creativity. Improvisation lies at the heart of her practice, infusing her creative process with spontaneity and authenticity. Pax's unique rituals and movement philosophies elevate improvised interpretation and choreographic writing to new heights, shaping her distinctive artistic voice. She is currently exploring the integration of digital media, crafting hybrid experiences that bridge live arts with digital tools and platforms.
In 2018, she established the cross-modal platform A.MUSE, driven by a mission to celebrate culture and art through various artistic mediums. Her work has been showcased on various platforms worldwide, including notable showcases at renowned institutions such as the V&A Museum and Saddler’s Wells in London, UK. Collaborative endeavours have been a hallmark of Frederique's career, exemplified by her role as a collaborator in the creation of E-MOTION in 2019, a multi-sensory live immersive exhibition featuring collaborations with perfumer Dana El Masri and sound producer Lunice. The subsequent year saw Frederique's involvement as a co-choreographer and performer in the stage work Un temps pour tout presented at the FTA Festival. In 2022, Frederique further expanded her artistic horizons as the founder and curator of HYBRID(X), an exhibition at the nexus of street dance and digital art. Notable among her recent achievements is the presentation of her collaborative work METAMORPHOSIS at the 2023 edition of the OFFTA Festival.
